   Heard you on the Gary Mantz Show…very interesting. I’ve read tales of the Arabian Nights and such. What I keep wondering about is the “Magic Carpet”. Everyone accepts the idea of a Persian carpet flying over some Middle Eastern skyline…but, where does this come from? It’s soooo prevelent that one would assume it’s true. But, is that a Djinn thing? Is this Myth, folklore, or true. I’ve never heard any explaination regarding it’s authenticity, how it works, what’s involved, etc. Do you have to have special powers to ride on it or does IT, the carpet, have special powers? I am very curious about the origin of this widely accepted…rug. Thanks for taking the time to read my somewhat off the beaten track question. kb

   I have not done much research into the folklore of magic carpets. The Djinn really wouldn’t need them. — Rosemary
